Vena Energy starts operation of Taiwan's largest solar park

Singapore-based Vena Energy Pte. Ltd has announced the commercial operation of the »E2« solar park in Taiwan. With a capacity of 272 megawatts, this is not only the largest project Vena Energy has implemented so far, but also the largest solar park in Taiwan, according to the company. The plant was installed on reclaimed land in Yunlin County on the west coast of Taiwan.
The inauguration ceremony on 22 April was attended by the Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen, who reiterated that the country’s government would prioritize the development of renewable energy: The E2 solar project »symbolizes a new milestone in Taiwan's green energy transformation as we strive towards achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050«. A »significant step forward« is the upcoming implementation of Taiwan's carbon tax in November, the president said.
