U.S. government secures Sunnova financing for disadvantaged households and communities with $3 billion

Photovoltaic and energy-as-a-service provider Sunnova Energy International, Inc. has received a three billion dollar partial guarantee from the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) to secure financing for PV systems, including storage systems and other components. According to Sunnova, this secures 90 percent of a $3.3 billion volume of loans the company plans to make under »Project Hestia.«
The DoE-project is designed to give disadvantaged homeowners and communities access to renewable energy. Sunnova estimates that the agreement with the DoE will enable it to make an estimated $5 billion in loans.
