Umweltbank finances 171-megawatt solar park from Luxcara

Germany Umweltbank AG is financing the Tramm-Göthen solar park in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, which is currently under construction. This was announced by the Hamburg-based investor Luxcara GmbH, which acquired the 171-megawatt project last November from Belectric GmbH - now part of the tech CEZ Group. According to the statement, the financing from Umweltbank amounts to a »mid-double-digit million amount.« The equity is being provided by renewable energy funds advised by Luxcara. The plant is expected to begin commercial operation in the first quarter of this year. The solar power will be sold under a ten-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
