UK added 9 MW of new PV systems in January

The UK added 9 MW of new PV systems in January 2018, a slight decrease from 15 MW added in December 2017 and a decline from 56 MW installed in January 2017. According to the UK Department of Business, Energy and Industrial strategy (BEIS), as of the end of January 2018 overall UK solar PV capacity stood at 12,800 MW across 939,872 installations. This is an increase of 7.6 percent (907 MW) compared to January 2017.
To date, 46 percent (5,884 MW) of total installed solar PV capacity comes from large scale installations greater than 5 MW, with 20 percent (2,535 MW) coming from small scale 0 to 4 kW installations. At the end of December 2017, 59 percent of capacity (7,548 MW) came from ground-mounted or standalone solar installations.
