Troostwijk sells Lightyear solar cars and accessories in online auction
Post date: 16/04/2023 - 16:24
The Dutch car brand Lightyear is conducting a partial relaunch, so that a number of vehicles – prototypes and development cars – and accessories are now being auctioned via the platform of Troostwijk Auctions. A total of six »Lightyear 0« cars, as well as subframes, tyres, seats, batteries, parts and more are up for sale. There are two examples in camouflage, one of which was used as a prototype and one for test work, a show model and prototypes that were used for testing.
Atlas Technologies, the company responsible for producing the Lightyear 0, filed for bankruptcy earlier this year. Part of the company is now making a fresh start to bring the »Lightyear 2« solar car, which is much cheaper at a targeted € 40,000, to market.
A viewing is possible on Wednesday 19 April 2023 from 10:00 to 15:00 at Automotive Campus 70, 5708 JZ in Helmond. The auction, organised by Holla Legal & Tax on behalf of the bankruptcy trustee RAML van Oeijen, will end on Monday, 24 April 2023 at 10:00 am.
