Sunrun announced revenue increase of 121 percent yoy

US residential solar installer Sunrun Inc. announced revenue for the second quarter of 2021 of $401 million, up $219 million, or 121 percent, from the second quarter of 2020. Net loss attributable to common stockholders was $41.2 million, compared to loss of $13.5 million in the same quarter 2020.
Customer additions were 26,110, including 21,894 subscriber additions. As of June 30, 2021, Sunrun had 599,743 customers, including 520,891 subscribers.
Regarding the first half of 2021, revenue was $735 million compared to 392 million in H1 2020. Net loss was $65 million, in the same period of the prior year the company announced net loss of $41 million.
Management now expects solar energy capacity installed growth to be 30 percent for the full-year 2021, pro-forma for Vivint Solar, an increase from the prior guidance range of 25 percent to 30 percent growth. Sunrun had acquired Vivint last fall.
