Post date: 02/11/2022 - 17:42
Sweden’s Clean Motion AB has developed a solar-powered delivery vehicle. The »Evig« (Swedish for »eternal«) electric tricycle has a solar roof with an output of 570 watts. It is powered by a 9.7-kilowatt motor that draws its energy from a battery pack with a choice of 2.5 to 10 kilowatt hours (kWh); 5 and 10 kWh variants are currently available for order. The range with the 10 kWh variant is up to 200 kilometers, and the manufacturer states average consumption of 4 kWh per 100 kilometers.
The comparatively low energy consumption is also achieved by the low weight: empty, the Evig weighs 250 kilograms, and 350 kilograms can be loaded. A 2.5 cubic meter cargo space is available for the payload. The top speed is 60 km/h.
Prices start at 10,900 euros ($ 10.790), with delivery in the first quarter of 2023.
