»The Smarter E Europe«: Solyco presents system solution for solar façades
Post date: 12/04/2023 - 18:07
Berlin, Germany-based module manufacturer Solyco Solar AG will be exhibiting its new »SOLup« system for façades at Intersolar Europe, in addition to its system for solar green roofs (SOLvert) and a system for small or angled roofs (SOLo). SOLup is a standardized system for curtain-type, rear-ventilated facades with double-glazed solar modules that can be integrated into all design and thermal insulation concepts. Retrofitting of existing facades is also possible.
As a system structure, SOLup has passed the standard test for resistance to wind load according to EN 12179 and the proof of impact resistance of glazing according to EN 12600, DIN 18008 and EN 14019, and its installation method follows the generally recognised rules of technology. The general building approval (Allgemeine bauaufsichtliche Zulassung, abZ) is to be applied for. The system weight is 13 kilograms per square metre including the substructure.
The price for the modules equipped with TOPCon cells is 45 euro cents per watt (net; 49 US cents). The total system comes, depending on the subsurface, to about € 1,000 for each ten square meters of surface. Installation will be carried out by Solyco system partners. The company first presented SOLup in December 2022 at the Solar Solutions trade fair in Düsseldorf. In the meantime, the first system is being planned, says Martin Schmal from Solyco. Further interested parties are being sought for pilot projects, which will then be managed directly by Solyco (booth No. A1.410).
