SMA receives good rating for sustainable supply chain

German inverter manufacturer SMA Solar Technology AG has received an »A-« rating from non-profit organization Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for its commitment to sustainable supply chain. According to the company, this puts SMA in the »Leadership group« in CDP’s »Supplier Engagement Rating 2022«. In the »Renewable energy equipment« group, the average rating is only »B-«, while the global and European average of all companies audited by CDP to date is »C«.
The Supplier Engagement Rating evaluates the cooperation of companies with their suppliers in implementing measures to reduce emissions in the supply chain. The rating is based on the companies‘ responses.
