SMA Solar Technology AG is expanding its portfolio of large-scale photovoltaic and storage systems in Central Europe with the addition of the Medium Voltage Power Station-9200, which comes in a 40-foot design. This new solution, which integrates two powerful inverters, two transformers and a medium-voltage switchgear, is available immediately. These components are pre-installed in a compact, transportable frame (skid) within a container (skidtainer). Production takes place in Europe. According to SMA, development and manufacturing are based on a partnership with CEP in Italy, which contributes additional technical expertise.

The system supports the operation of PV power plants and battery storage systems with 1,500 volts DC. Sunny Central UP inverters are used for PV power plants, while Sunny Central Storage UP or UP-S inverters are used for battery energy storage systems (BESS). According to SMA, the latter can reduce energy losses and lower long-term operating costs thanks to its SiC MOSFET technology (available with Sunny Central Storage UP-S inverters). The new 40-foot MVPS is available in power classes ranging from MVPS-5860 to MVPS-9200.
