This environmentally friendly, durable, easy-to-install profile can be used in sensitive areas, from water protection zones to saline soils, and it is a sustainable, cost-effective alternative to conventional steel piles.
SL Rack is the first manufacturer to launch a W-pile made of high-quality PVC plastic, setting new standards for ground mount systems. The specially designed geometry enables higher compressive and tensile loads from snow and wind to be absorbed, thus also allowing higher permissible loads.
Advantages in sensitive environments
The W-profile is ideal for use in water protection zones, moorlands, and saline soils. Conventional steel piles cannot be used in these regions due to zinc contamination, as they would corrode. The PVC material is UV-resistant, rot-proof, free of plasticizers, and fully recyclable. Due to its metal-free construction, it leaves no environmentally harmful deposits in the soil.
Sustainability meets cost-effectiveness
Compared to stainless steel piles, which incur high material costs and often require additional concrete foundations, plastic profiles offer a simpler, more cost-effective solution. Since the installation process is identical to that of steel profiles, existing tools and processes can be used, eliminating the need for additional investment.
