Sharp launches bifacial glass-glass module with TOPCon cells and 570 watts

Sharp Energy Solutions Europe has released a bifacial glass-glass module with 144 M10 TOPCon half cells and 16 busbars. The NB-JD570 has an output of 570 watts with a module efficiency of 22.07 percent. Dimensions are 2,278 by 1,134 millimeters with a 30-millimeter-thick aluminum frame. The front and rear glass panels are each two millimeters thick, and the weight is 32.5 kilograms.
Dimensions and weight are thus the same as the predecessor model, the NB-JD550. The higher performance and better efficiency are due to the use of TOPCon cells, while PERC cells are used in the NB-JD550. The TOPCon cells also result in a significantly lower temperature coefficient of minus 0.30 percent power reduction per degree Celsius. For the PERC module, it is minus 0.35 percent. Both module types are suitable for system voltages of up to 1,500 volts and are therefore – also due to their high weight – particularly intended for large ground-mounted projects.
Sharp provides a linear performance guarantee of 85 percent of the rated power within the EU and in several other countries, as well as a 15-year product warranty.
