SEIA released update of »Guide for Residential Installations«

The US Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) has released an updated »Installation Best Practices Guide for Residential Portfolios« for all parties involved in a solar transaction. The white paper, developed by members of SEIA's Solar Quality Assurance Working Group, provides recommended best practices from contractor qualifications to the design and actual installation of a PV system. According to the organization, »the broader objective in developing and maintaining this document is to build confidence among potential solar customers, regulators, investors, rating agencies, and other stakeholders in the concept that residential solar systems are a valuable home improvement, a consistent and long-term electric generating resource, and credit-worthy investment asset class.«
The Guide (28 pages) is available as PDF free of charge at »www.seia.org«.
