Secursun builds first of 50 solar parks in Germany

Berlin, Germany-based Secursun GmbH, a joint venture founded at the end of 2022 by Berlin-based project developer Securenergy Solutions and Bulgaria's Sunotec, has begun construction of its first solar park. This is currently being built in Brusow (photo), a district of the town of Kröpelin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and has a capacity of 2.0 megawatts. At least six more solar parks are scheduled to break ground this year, including in Utzedel (also in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) and Dallgow-Döberitz in Brandenburg. In its announcement, Secursun gives 20 megawatts as the »average project size.« The overall portfolio comprises 50 plants in Germany with a total of 1.1 gigawatts and is to be implemented by the end of 2026.
