Scatec plans to invest NOK 100 million to increase electricity production capacity

Norwegian solar project developer and power plant operator Scatec ASA plans to invest around NOK 100 billion ($11.7 billion) by the end of 2025 to significantly expand its renewable power generation capacity. According to the company, Scatec produced more than 3 GWh of electricity in 2020 with an installed capacity of 3.3 GW. The portfolio is expected to grow to 4.5 GW by the end of 2021, and to 15 GW within the next four years.
The company has projects in 35 countries, and its order book has grown from 4.2 GW to 11.9 GW in the last two years. In 2020, Scatec acquired hydropower operator SN Power.
