Rezolv Energy to build 1 GW solar park in Romania

Czech-based Rezolv Energy, a company of British investment firm Actis, has acquired the rights from the Monsson Group to build and operate a 1,044-megawatt photovoltaic power plant in Arad County in western Romania. Construction is scheduled to begin in the first half of next year, with commissioning in 2025. Plans also call for a battery storage facility with a capacity of 135 megawatts to provide a steady supply to the 400-kV high-voltage grid. Financing is to be provided through long-term power purchase agreements.
