REC presents »residential« module with HJT cells and 470 watts

The Norwegian REC Group is announcing its most powerful solar module to date for the residential sector (i.e. with comparatively small dimensions and usually 60 cells) at the US RE+ 2023 trade fair, which opens on September 11. The module, for which the company has not yet released a data sheet and which will be unveiled at RE+ on Sept. 12, is part of what is now the fourth generation of the Alpha series, which debuted in 2019 and features heterojunction (HJT) solar cells made of two different semiconductor materials, in this case crystalline and amorphous silicon.
