Profine Energy to invest € 1 billion in solar parks in Bulgaria

Profine Energy GmbH, a joint venture of German Profine Group and Wirth Group founded a few months ago, is considering an investment of more than one billion euros ($ 1 billion) in Bulgaria. According to the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy and Industry, the acting minister Nikola Stoyanov met with the CEO of the Profine Group, Peter Mrosik, and the CEO of the Wirth Group, Markus Wirth.
According to the ministry, Profine Energy plans to establish a subsidiary in Bulgaria to build solar parks in the northwestern region of the country. More than one billion euros in investments are planned for this purpose, which would be the largest single investment in Bulgaria so far. Stoyanov said the joint venture could count on the full support of the government.
