Price of German electricity dropped 25% in the past year

According to preliminary calculations made by PHOTON International, the average price of »German electricity« on the European Power Exchange EPEXSPOT reached €0.03559 ($0.04624) per kWh in February 2014. This is down from €0.03587 in January and down about 25% from February 2013, when the average price was €0.04462 per kWh. For comparison, in February 2012 the average price was €0.05492 per kWh.
