PPVX wins 2.3 percent

The PHOTON Photovoltaic Stock Index rose last week by 2.3 percent to 1,377 points and is now 53.3 percent above its level at the beginning of the year. Its reference value NYSE Arca Oil gained 3.3 percent and is now 4.0 percent higher than on 1 January. This gives the PPVX a currency-adjusted lead of 49.3 percentage points over the oil stocks. In a long-term comparison since the beginning of 2003, the PPVX with its plus of 389.6 percent is 242.0 percentage points ahead of the Arca Oil (plus 147.5 percent). The cumulative market value of all PPVX companies is currently around €38.0 billion ($42.1 billion).
The top 3 stocks of the week are Sunnova (plus 21.9 percent), Jinko Solar (18.2 percent) and Encavis (11.9 percent). The highest price losses – after constant gains since the beginning of the year – were suffered by Enphase Energy with 11.2 percent, followed by Shunfeng International (4.8 percent) and Sino-American Silicon (4.7 percent). The highest price gains since the beginning of the year are still recorded by Enphase with 527.3 percent, followed by SunPower (151.5 percent) and SolarEdge (133.4 percent). The highest price losses since 1 January are currently posted by Shunfeng International (61.5 percent), Panda Green Energy (45.8 percent) and Meyer Burger (34.2 percent).
