PPVX slightly up

The PHOTON Photovoltaic Stock Index PPVX rose slightly last week by 0.4 percent to 1,134 points, its comparative value NYSE Arca Oil fell by 0.2 percent. The top-3 PPVX shares of the week were Enphase Energy (plus 17.0 percent), Xinyi Solar (9.2 percent) and United Renewable Energy (6.3 percent), while the highest price losses were suffered by GCL Poly (13.0 percent), Thai Solar Energy (8.0 percent) and REC Silicon (3.7 percent).
The top 3 PPVX stocks since the beginning of the year are Jinko Solar with a price gain of 110.4 percent, followed by Enphase Energy (92.4 percent) and Canadian Solar (74.3 percent). A minus compared to the beginning of the year is currently posted only by Panda Green Energy (20.8 percent) and West Holdings (1.8 percent).
The cumulative market value of all PPVX shares is currently around €28.6 billion ($32.5 billion). With plus 26.2 percent since the beginning of 2019, the PPVX has been 12.9 percentage points ahead of the Nyse Arca Oil (plus 13.3 percent). Since the beginning of 2003, it has gained 303.1 percent and thus been 133.3 percentage points ahead of the oil stocks (plus 169.7 percent).
