PPVX reaches new annual high

The PHOTON Photovoltaic Stock Index PPVX rose last week by 9.9 percent to a new annual high of 3,152 points. Its reference value NYSE Arca Oil gained 2.9 percent. With an increase of 114.2 percent since the beginning of the year, the PPVX is 171.1 percentage points ahead of the oil stock index (minus -56.9 percent). In a long-term comparison since the beginning of 2003, the PPVX (plus 1,020.4 percent) has a lead of 1,005.4 percentage points over the Arca Oil (plus 15.0 percent). The cumulative market value of all PPVX companies is currently around €95.8 billion ($112.9 billion).
The top three stocks since the beginning of the year are Enphase with a price gain of 368.9 percent, Daqo New Energy (335.1 percent) and Sunrun (318.0 percent). The biggest price losses compared to January are posted by BCPG (21.0 percent), Maxeon (18.0 percent since PPVX inclusion on September 4) and Motech (5.1 percent). The highest price gains for the week were posted by Sunnova (38.0 percent), Sunpower (27.1 percent) and Enphase (24.9 percent), while the highest losses were recorded by Solaredge (7.8 percent), Motech (5.3 percent) and Beijing Energy (4.5 percent).
