PPVX: minus 0.4 percent

The PHOTON Photovoltaic Shares Index stood at 1,367 points last Friday and thus, just like a week ago, fell by 0.4 percent compared to the previous Friday. Compared to the beginning of the year, the index is up 52.2 percent. In the long-term development since January 2003, it has gained 386.0 percent. Its reference value NYSE Arca Oil gained 3.1 percent last week. With plus 9.9 percent since the beginning of the year, it has lagged the PPVX by 42.3 percentage points. Since 2003, the Arca Oil (plus 161.5 percent) is 224.5 percentage points behind the PPVX.
The current cumulative market value of all PPVX companies is around €37.2 billion ($41.0 billion). The highest price gains of the previous week were achieved by SMA with 16.9 percent, followed by GCL-Poly with 12.5 percent and Meyer Burger with 8.5 percent. Panda Green Energy (-16.7 percent), Enphase (-13.1 percent) and Sunnova (-10.9 percent) suffered the highest price losses.
The highest increase compared to January 1 is posted by Enphase (366.8 percent), followed by SunPower (150.3 percent) and SolarEdge (116.9 percent). The highest price losses since the beginning of the year are currently recorded by Shunfeng International (59.6 percent), Panda Green Energy (47.9 percent) and Meyer Burger (34.0 percent).
