PPVX makes up ground

Last Friday, the PHOTON Photovoltaic Stock Index PPVX recorded a plus after two weeks with a negative balance. At 1,162 points, the index was 0.9 percent higher than in the previous week, whereas its reference value NYSE Arca Oil lost 3.1 percent. Since the beginning of 2019, the PPVX (plus 29.3 percent) has been 21.0 percentage points ahead of the oil stock index (plus 8.3 percent). In a long-term comparison since the beginning of 2003, the PPVX (plus 312.9 percent) is 155.2 percentage points ahead of the Arca Oil (plus 157.7 percent).
The highest price gains of last week have been achieved by SMA (18.6 percent), Daqo New Energy (11.6 percent) and Vivint Solar (6.9 percent), while the highest price losses have been suffered by United Renewable Energy (9.5 percent), GCL-Poly (6.0 percent) and REC Silicon (5.6 percent). The highest price gains since January are currently recorded by Enphase (224.7 percent), Jinko Solar (83.6 percent) and Vivint Solar (78.0 percent), while the highest price losses are posted by Shunfeng International (46.2 percent), Panda Green Energy (29.2 percent) and REC Silicon (3.4 percent). The current cumulative market value of all PPVX companies is around €31.1 billion ($34.7 billion).
