PPVX gains significantly

The PHOTON Photovoltaic Stock Index PPVX rose last week by 2.1 percent to 1,383 points. Its reference value NYSE Arca Oil gained 0.6 percent. With plus 53.9 percent since the beginning of the year, the PPVX is 45.4 percentage points ahead of the oil shares (plus 8.4 percent). Since 2003, the solar stocks (plus of 391.5 percent) have a lead of 233.3 percentage points over the Arca Oil (plus 158.1 percent).
The highest price gains of the week have been achieved by Daqo New Energy (20.0 percent), Xinyi Solar (13.1 percent) and GCL-Poly (13.0 percent), while the highest price losses have been suffered by Shunfeng International (12.5 percent), Scatec Solar (7.2 percent) and Sunnova (5.8 percent). Enphase (plus 409.7 percent), SolarEdge (139.1 percent) and Jinko Solar (105.1 percent) are currently posting the highest price gains since the beginning of the year, while Shunfeng International (minus 73.1 percent), Panda Green Energy (60.4 percent) and GCL-Poly (44.7 percent) are posting the highest price losses. The cumulative market value of all PPVX companies on Friday was around €39.0 billion ($43.3 billion).
