PPVX down 3.1 percent

The PHOTON Photovoltaic Stock Index PPVX fell last week by 3.1 percent to 1,332 points, its reference value NYSE Arca Oil lost 2.2 percent. Since January, the PPVX (plus 48.3 percent) has been 45.7 percentage points ahead of the oil share index (plus 2.5 percent). In a long-term comparison since the beginning of 2003, the PPVX (plus 373.5 percent) is 229.4 percentage points ahead of the oil stocks (plus 144.1 percent). The cumulative market value of all PPVX companies is currently around €36.6 billion ($40.7 billion).
The highest price gains in the past week were posted by Canadian Solar (7.0 percent), Vivint Solar (6.1 percent) and Terraform Power (5.8 percent), while the highest losses were recorded by Shunfeng International (31.0 percent), GCL-Poly (18.4 percent) and Meyer Burger (15.0 percent). The highest price gains since the beginning of the year have so far been achieved by Enphase (577.2 percent), SunPower (159.2 percent) and SolarEdge (138.7 percent), with the highest minus recorded by Shunfeng International (61.5 percent), followed by Panda Green Energy (45.8 percent) and Meyer Burger (34.8 percent).
