PPVX down 1.3 percent

The PHOTON Photovoltaic Stock Index PPVX fell last week by 1.3 percent to 1,114 points, its comparative value NYSE Arca Oil gained 0.6 percent.
The top 3 solar stocks since the beginning of the year are Enphase (plus 119.9 percent), Jinko Solar (79.1 percent) and Sunpower (52.7 percent). The worst performers are Shunfeng International (minus 46.2 percent), Panda Green Energy (29.2 percent) and SPCG (0.6 percent). Last week’s highest price gains were recorded by Renewable Energy (9.0 percent), First Solar (6.9 percent) and Vivint Solar (4.0 percent), while the highest losses have been suffered by REC Silicon (15.9 percent), Jinko Solar (10.9 percent) and Shunfeng International (9.7 percent).
With an increase of 24.0 percent since the beginning of 2019, the PPVX has been 5.6 percentage points ahead of the oil share index (plus 18.4 percent) on a currency-adjusted basis. Since the beginning of 2003, the solar shares (plus 296.0 percent) have been 114.1 percentage points ahead of the Arca Oil (plus 181.9 percent). The cumulative market value of all PPVX companies is currently around €29.5 billion ($33.2 billion).
