PPVX up 3.3 percent

The PHOTON Photovoltaic Stock Index PPVX rose last week by 3.3 percent to 5,262 points. Its reference value NYSE Arca Oil gained 3.8 percent. With plus 29.3 percent since the beginning of the year, the PPVX is 12.5 percentage points ahead of the oil stock index (plus 16.8 percent). In a long-term comparison since the beginning of 2003, the PPVX (plus 1,770.4 percent) has a lead of 1,693.3 percentage points over the oil stocks (plus 77.1 percent). The cumulative market value of all PPVX companies is currently around €148.1 billion ($179.6 billion).
The top 3 stocks since the beginning of the year are GCL-Poly with a price gain of 196.7 percent, Daqo New Energy (115.9 percent) and Maxeon (76.8 percent). The highest price losses compared to January are recorded by Renesola (30.5 percent since inclusion into the PPVX on Jan. 22), Solarpack (21.5 percent) and Scatec Solar (15.8 percent). The highest price gains of the week are posted by GCL-Poly (14.4 percent), Daqo New Energy (13.4 percent) and Beijing Energy International (12.0 percent), while the highest losses were recorded by Neoen (11.9 percent), Solaria Energía (11.1 percent) and Azure Power (11.0 percent).
