PPVX up 3 percent

The PHOTON Photovoltaic Stock Index PPVX rose last week by 3.0 percent to 3,480 points. Its reference value NYSE Arca Oil gained 0.9 percent. With plus 136.5 percent since the beginning of the year, the PPVX is 175.5 percentage points ahead of the oil stock index (minus 38.9 percent). In a long-term comparison since the beginning of 2003, the PPVX (plus 1,137.0 percent) has a lead of 1,074.1 percentage points over the oil stocks (plus 62.8 percent). The cumulative market value of all PPVX companies is currently around €101.8 billion ($123.3 billion).
The top 3 stocks since the beginning of the year are Enphase with a price gain of 435.4 percent, Sunrun (322.0 percent) and Daqo New Energy (321.3 percent). The highest price losses compared to January are recorded by Array Technologies (13.2 percent since inclusion in the PPVX on October 23), Motech (12.4 percent since inclusion in the PPVX on September 18) and BCPG (10.5 percent). The highest price gains of the week are posted by GCL-Poly (22.2 percent), West Holdings (13.7 percent) and Scatec (10.4 percent), while the highest losses were recorded by Jinko Solar (13.7 percent), Maxeon (10.1 percent) and Meyer Burger (7.3 percent).
