PPVX up 2.9 percent

Last week, the PHOTON Photovoltaic-Stock Index PPVX gained 2.9 percent and traded at 1,191 points on Friday. Compared to its level at the beginning of the year, the index is still down 0.4 percent. Its reference value NYSE Arca Oil rose by 0.8 percent last week and is now 5.5 percent below its January 1 level. In a long-term comparison since the beginning of 2003, the PPVX (with a plus of 323.4 percent) is 174.9 percentage points ahead of the oil share index (plus 148.5 percent). The cumulative market capitalization of all PPVX companies currently amounts to €29.2 billion $35.9 billion).
Last week's highest price gains were achieved by Solaria Energía (19.8 percent), REC Silicon (18.3 percent) and Meyer Burger (15.0 percent), while the highest losses were recorded by Daqo New Energy (7.1 percent), SPCG (6.2 percent) and Gintech (3.3 percent).
The highest growth rates since the beginning of the year were recorded by SMA (53.1 percent), SolarEdge (39.7 percent) and Solaria Energía (33.5 percent), while the highest losses were recorded by Daqo New Energy (25.1 percent), Jinko Solar (23.7 percent) and Thai Solar Energy (23.2 percent).
