PPVX with 2.1 percent loss

After a recent steep upward trend, the PHOTON Photovoltaic Stock Index PPVX has fallen by 2.1 percent in the past week and was quoted at 1,374 points on Friday. Its reference value NYSE Arca Oil lost 3.6 percent. Compared to the beginning of the year, the PPVX (plus 53.0 percent) is now 48.1 percentage points ahead of the oil share index (plus 4.9 percent). Since the beginning of 2003, the lead of the solar shares (plus 388.6 percent) over the oil share index (plus 149.6 percent) is currently 239.0 percentage points.
The highest price gains of the past week have been achieved by Solaredge (26.7 percent), Meyer Burger (13.3 percent) and Enphase (9.4 percent), while Sunrun (16.1 percent), Vivint Solar (13.3 percent) and GCL-Poly (9.5 percent) have suffered the highest price losses. The top 3 stocks since the beginning of the year are Enphase with an increase of 573.4 percent, Sunpower (187.9 percent) and Solaredge (134.6 percent), while the sharpest drop since January has been recorded by Shunfeng International (44.2 percent), followed by Panda Green Energy (39.6 percent) and Meyer Burger (23.3 percent). The cumulative market value of all PPVX companies is currently around €37.1 billion ($41.6 billion).
