PPVX up 2.1 percent

The PHOTON Photovoltaic Stock Index PPVX rose last week by 2.1 percent to 3,778 points. Its reference value NYSE Arca Oil gained 0.9 percent. With minus 7.1 percent since the beginning of the year, the PPVX is 41.2 percentage points behind the oil stock index (plus 34.1 percent).
The highest price gains of the week are posted by Xinte Energy (18.4 percent), Flat Glass Group (18.3 percent) and SolarEdge (13.8 percent), while the highest losses were recorded by Sunrun (8.7 percent), Neoen (8.1 percent) and SunPower (6.0 percent). The top 3 stocks since the beginning of the year are Flat Glass Group with a price gain of 37.1 percent, Meyer Burger (31.8 percent) and Sino-American Silicon (8.7 percent). The highest price losses compared to January are recorded by Array Technologies (68.4 percent), Soltec (47.6 percent) and Neoen (46.3 percent). GCL Poly (plus 61.0 percent until April) remains suspended from trading.
The cumulative market value of all PPVX companies is currently around €127.8 billion ($151.3 billion). In a long-term comparison since the beginning of 2003, the PPVX (plus 1,243.0 percent) has a lead of 1,139.7 percentage points over the NYSE Arca Oil (plus 103.3 percent).
