PPVX up 0.8 percent

The PHOTON Photovoltaic Stock Index PPVX was quoted at 1,053 points on Friday, 0.8 percent higher than a week earlier. Its reference value NYSE Arca Oil lost 1.9 percent. At plus 17.2 percent since the beginning of the year, the PPVX is 7.9 percentage points ahead of the Arca Oil (plus 9.3 percent). Since the beginning of 2003, the solar stocks (plus 274.2 percent) have been 114.0 percentage points ahead of the oil stocks (plus 160.2 percent). The cumulative market value of all PPVX companies is currently around €26.2 billion ($23.1 billion).
The highest price gains of the past week have been achieved by Sunrun (10.2 percent), Enphase (6.3 percent) and West Holdings (6.0 percent), while the highest losses were suffered by Daqo New Energy (9.9 percent), SMA (7.2 percent) and Solaria Energía (5.4 percent). The highest price gains since January 1 are currently posted by Jinko Solar (58.7 percent), Enphase (57.3 percent) and Canadian Solar (43.4 percent), the highest losses by China Singyes Solar (53.5 percent), Panda Green Energy (18.8 percent) and REC Silicon (3.2 percent).
