Power Africa publishes 2021 annual report

Power Africa, the international development cooperation initiated by the United States Agency for International Development (US AID), has published its 2021 annual report. In addition to an overview of the past year’s activities, it numerous brief descriptions of the projects implemented. According to the report, Power Africa completed 24 projects in 2021 with a total of 1.33 GW of capacity, 95 percent of which was based on renewable energy.
In total, the initiative, which was founded in 2013 and focuses on the sub-Saharan region, says it has enabled the implementation of 5.52 GW; the target it has set itself is 30 GW and 60 million home and business connections by 2030. The report is available for free download (see link below).
