PHOTON module yield measurement data for January is now online

PHOTON's module test field is located in Aachen, Germany.

The results of the PHOTON module yield measurements are updated monthly and are immediately available online. The analysis for the month of January 2014 sees the leaders of test year 2013 off to a very good start. The highest yield (based on the STC output ) was achieved by Hanwha Q-Cells’ Q.PRO-G2 235, which placed fourth overall in 2013. ReneSola’s JC245M-24/Bbv module, which placed eighth last year, came in second in January, while Risen Energy’s SYP190S-M, last year’s second place module, came in third. The winner of the 2013 yield measurement program, the SR190 from Sopray Energy, came in seventh place in January. Last year’s third place module, the ET- M660250WW from ET Solar Industry, came in 11th place, however.
The results for the month of January are meaningful for the whole year despite the fact that the vast majority of annual yield is achieved in the summer months. In this case, the temperature coefficient of the modules plays an important role. Data for a total of 175 module types is included in the January 2014 data. The only module new to the outdoor test field in January was the JKM255PP-60 multicrystalline module from Jinko Solar.
