Padcon and Jurchen supply technology for 349 MW solar power plant in Australia

German Padcon GmbH supplies the monitoring technology for the solar power plant »Limondale« in Australia. Jurchen Technology provides the DC cabling system and its PEG substructure. A total of around 80,000 meters of cable and around 40,000 solar plugs will be processed, according to the company. »We monitor photovoltaic systems with more than three gigawatts of installed capacity worldwide,« says Constantin Wenzlik, Managing Director of Padcon GmbH. Innogy SE's Limondale solar power plant is currently under construction in Balranald, New South Wales, and will have an installed capacity of 349 MW upon completion. Full commercial operation is expected to begin in mid-2020.
The RWE subsidiary Innogy acquired the »Limondale« project from the Australian project developer Overland Sun Farming in early 2018. Innogy subsidiary Belectric will be responsible for all construction work, including planning, operation and maintenance.
