Origis and Mitsubishi agree to retrofit existing solar power plants with 600 MWh of storage

Origis Energy, a U.S. solar and storage power project developer, plans to add storage systems to three of its facilities in the southeastern United States. A total of 150 megawatts of power and 600 megawatt hours of capacity are planned. Origis has contracted Mitsubishi Power Americas, part of Japanese technology group Mitsubishi. In total, Origis has battery storage systems with 2.3 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of capacity »contracted or in negotiation« and 13.7 GWh under development, according to a statement.
