New structures at ISC Konstanz

Germany’s International Solar Energy Research Center Konstanz (ISC Konstanz e.V.) has restructured its board and established new departments. The department Strategy and Education was founded, headed by Radovan Kopecek. The departments Industrial Cooperations and Novel Solar Cells were merged into one department Solar Cells, led by Lejo Joseph. The Quality Management department became the Laboratory Solar Cells department, led by chemist Florian Buchholz. The solar module department is headed by Andreas Halm. Kristian Peter heads the Energy Systems department, and the Administration department is headed by Petra Weber (formerly Hoffmann).
Florian Buchholz and Andreas Halm were newly elected to the board. Both have been working for the ISC for more than 15 years and, as department heads, are very familiar with the organizational processes. The founding members and board members of the first hour Kristian Peter (chairman), Radovan Kopecek and Peter Fath were confirmed in their positions for the next two years. As before, Fath will only act in an advisory capacity. Petra Weber will remain Managing Director and will be responsible for day-to-day business together with the operating Board. Rudolf Harney, who has been a member of the Executive Board and Managing Director up to now, is now devoting himself to operational work and fundraising at his own request.
