New framework for small PV systems in Australia

The Australian Clean Energy Regulator (CER) has modified the guidelines for PV systems in the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES). The changes relate in particular to systems in which one, some or all solar modules – usually in the course of an extension – are supplemented or replaced.
No additional small-scale technology certificates will be awarded for the corresponding investments in the future; this was previously possible under certain conditions. For installations that have been upgraded prior to the publication of the new guidelines, there is a transitional period until 31 January 2018.
