New edition of Solarwatt’s glass-glass module with building authority approval

Dresden, Germany-based Solarwatt GmbH is launching a successor model for its »vision 60M construct« glass-glass solar module with general building inspectorate approval (allgemeine bauaufsichtliche Zulassung, abZ), which has been on the market for around two years and can be used for overhead glazing, such as parking lot roofing, and for facades without additional protection. The »Panel vision GM 3.0 construct« with 370 W of power also has an abZ from the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt) and is equipped with bifacial monocrystalline PERC half cells from an unnamed manufacturer.
The product and performance warranty, as with all Solarwatt modules, is 30 years. Production is scheduled to begin in March, with shipments starting in April. Starting at the end of this year, the module will have an additional center support brace to increase stability and improve appearance by hiding the cable and junction box. Solarwatt does not provide information on the price, as it can vary depending on the source of supply and they do not want to raise false expectations, according to company spokesman Marian Möbius.
