METI approved GSSG Solar’s »Yamanashi« plant

US investment company GSSG Solar, LLC announced that the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) approved its 14.7 MW »Yamanashi« solar plant. GSSG will sell the project’s power output under a 20-year feed-in-tariff (FIT) to Tokyo EPCO. »Yamanashi« was developed and built in coordination with the local government and includes a long-term commitment to maintain a dedicated community agricultural farm adjacent to the plant. The company has acquired over 350 MW of projects since it entered the Japanese market and expects to have 200 MW of projects under construction by the end of 2019. A subsidiary of GSSG will provide asset management services over the project’s lifetime.
