Maximum values for solar tenders in Germany increased by 25 percent

The German Federal Network Agency on Monday (Jan. 23) set the maximum values for tenders for ground-mounted solar power plants at 7.37 eurocents (8.02 U.S. cents) per kilowatt-hour, up from 5.90 eurocents previously. The new cap already applies to the bidding date of March 1, 2023. In the last tender of 2022, the maximum value was 5.90 euro cents.
After the last bidding rounds had been undersubscribed, the Federal Network Agency is thus taking advantage of the new option created by the German parliament last December to adjust the remuneration upwards by up to 25 percent, instead of the previous ten percent.
