Mainland Greece added around 14 MW of PV capacity in November

Mainland Greece had 2,418 MW of installed PV capacity as of the end of November 2013, according to the Hellenic Transmission System Operator SA (HTSO). The Greek mainland had 2,070 MW of installed grid-connected PV systems over 10 kW and 348 MW of rooftop PV systems up to 10 kW at the end of the month. According to HTSO, 2.8 MW of systems up to 10 kW and 11.5 MW of systems over 10 kW were installed on the mainland in November. For comparison, Mainland Greece added 40 MW of new PV systems in October, 1 MW in September and 5 MW in August. In the first 11 months of 2013, mainland Greece added around 1,090 MW of installed PV power.
HTSO’s figures do not include the installed capacity of non-interconnected Greek islands, which – according to the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator SA (HEDNO) – reached 148.5 MW at the end of July. Based on the most recent data available, Greece has a total installed PV capacity of at least 2,566 MW.
