Luxcara acquires 121 MW solar project in Spain

German asset management company Luxcara GmbH has acquired the solar project »Guillena-Salteras« located in southern Spain. The plant will have a projected capacity of approximately 121 MW. Construction works will begin shortly. The facility is expected to be connected to the grid in the second quarter of 2020. The power output will be sold to an unnamed off-taker on the basis of a power purchase agreement (PPA). »Guillena-Salteras« is located north of Sevilla in Andalusia and will be connected to the Salteras transformer substation, owned by Red Eléctrica de España S.A. The project was developed by Solarig Global Services S.A., who will also build the plant as an EPC contractor.
In December 2017, Luxcara has acquired the 45 MW solar project »El Salobral« in Espejo, located in Andalusia as well, and the company also signed a PPA with an unnamed customer.
