Longi reports 48 percent revenue growth for 2021

Chinese solar group Longi Green Energy Technology Co, Ltd has released its report for 2021 and the first quarter of 2022. The company reported revenue growth of 48.3 percent to 80.93 billion renminbi yuan (CNY; $12.02 billion) for the past year. It reported CNY9.09 billion ($1.35billion) in net profit.
Longi shipped monocrystalline wafers for a total capacity of 70 gigawatts (GW) in 2021, including 33.92 GW to third-party customers and 36.09 GW for its own needs, according to the report. The total volume of monocrystalline solar modules shipped was 38.52 GW, including 37.24 GW for external sales and 1.28 GW for internal use. This makes Longi the global market leader by a wide margin, according to the company.
For the first quarter of 2022, Longi cites sales of 18.36 GW of wafers, including 8.42 GW to third-party customers and 9.94 GW internally. Of 6.44 GW of modules, 6.35 GW went to external customers and 0.09 GW to internal use. For the full year, the company is targeting delivery goals (internal and external) of 90 to 100 GW for wafers and 50 to 60 GW for modules.
Production capacity for wafers, cells and modules at the end of last year was 105 GW, 37 GW and 60 GW, respectively, and capacity targets for 2022 have been increased to 150 GW, 60 GW and 85 GW.
