Longi and Power Field to develop solar park in the Netherlands

China’s Longi Green Energy Technology Co. has announced a cooperation with Power Field, its partner in the Netherlands, to deploy 15.49 MW of its Hi-MO 4 modules at Ter Apelkanaal, one of three production locations of the Dutch potato starch producer Royal Avebe. As a result of a joint collaboration between Royal Avebe and Power Field, a 10-hectare park has been built with over 34,000 Longi modules. Ter Apelkanaal is the second project that Power Field is operating itself.
According to the company, as of the end of 2020, Longi’s market share in the Netherlands stands at 20 percent. The Dutch market is dominated by DG and, with increasing annual demand of 2.5 to 3.0 GW. »It ranks among the top five markets in Europe.«
The Dutch company Power Field develops ground-based solar parks. Since 2016, the company has contributed to the realization of more than 20 solar parks in the Netherlands, with plans for a further 1,000 MW in the coming years.
