KGAL Investment Management GmbH & Co. KG acquires a 25 percent stake in GP Joule Projects for each of its funds KGAL ESPF 4 and KGAL ESPF 5. GP Joule Projects is part of the GP Joule Group and develops wind and solar energy projects until they are ready for construction and then sells them. Since its founding in 2009, the company has developed more than 20 wind farms and 130 solar farms with a total capacity of more than 1,000 megawatts. Several times, KGAL was among the buyers. GP Joule intends to use the funds for the further development of existing projects, but even more for the expansion of the portfolio. The focus is currently mainly on Germany. In addition, the two partners want to push expansion in Europe. "KGAL is already active in ten European countries and is therefore well networked. With it at its side, GP Joule Projects can accelerate its growth even more ", says Ove Petersen, co-founder and CEO of GP Joule.
