Juwi Shizen to install 100 MW solar park in Japan

The 186-hectare Azuma Kofuji solar power plant is scheduled to go into operation in spring 2023

Juwi Shizen Energy, the joint venture established in 2013 between German project developer Juwi and Japanese wind and solar farm developer Shizen Energy, is installing a 100 MW solar farm in Fukushima for Canadian Solar Group. The agreement was signed in October last year. The 186-hectare solar power plant is scheduled to go into operation in spring 2023. The »Azuma Kofuji« plant is expected to produce 110 million kilowatt hours per year.
Currently, Juwi Shizen Energy reportedly has projects under construction with a total capacity of more than 300 MW. Most recently, the company commissioned a 54 MW solar farm on the site of a former golf course in Tochigi Prefecture, about 100 kilometers north of the capital Tokyo.
