JinkoSolar achieves 24.76 percent efficiency with TOPCon module

The Chinese module manufacturer JinkoSolar has achieved an efficiency of 24.76 percent with a module of more than two square meters using TOPCon cells. This was certified by TÜV Süd. According to JinkoSolar, this is a new world record for module efficiency certified by independent institutes.
Jinko achieved the increase in efficiency by, among other things, increasing the efficiency of the TOPCon cells used, better utilization of the module area through denser cell arrangement, and better light coupling through the cell connectors. JinkoSolar recently announced that its n-type TOPCon cells with an edge length of 182 millimeters achieved an efficiency of 26.89 percent, which was confirmed by the National Photovoltaic Industry Measurement Testing Center.
The laboratory module will now serve as the basis for mass production.
