Jinko with 58 percent increase in sales in the first quarter

Chinese solar company Jinko Solar Holding Co, Ltd. reported sales of 23.33 billion renminbi yuan ($ 3.37 billion) for the first quarter of this year. This is 58 percent more than the same quarter last year, though also 22.2 percent less than the preceding Q4 2022. Jinko posted a gross profit of 4 billion yuan ($ 579 million), 81.5 percent more than Q1 2022 and 4.0 percent less than Q4 2022.
The company put Q1 shipments at 14.5 gigawatts (GW), including 13 GW of modules and 1.5 GW of cells. This represents a 72.7 percent increase year-over-year and a 12.8 percent decrease from the previous quarter.
